Raw Matcha – Instead of Coffee

It can be tough to let go of the morning coffee, but with this raw matcha, you can look forward to feeling energized in a whole new way.

Recipe:

A handful of cashew nuts

Two large medjoule dates

½ avocado

One teaspoon Matcha

A cup of water, Blend until creamy.

About matcha:

You may be thinking, “Why the hype about matcha?” but there are many good reasons to switch your morning coffee out with matcha tea.

Matcha contains large amounts of antioxidants (polyphenols); antioxidants fight free radicals produced in the body, reduce inflammation, and help to slow-age the body by protecting the cells.

Matcha doesn’t release caffeine as fast as coffee, which means you likely won’t get the “coffee jitters,” the energy will stay with you for longer, matcha being a more steady energy source.

Matcha is better for your teeth and oral health, it doesn’t stain your teeth as coffee does; in fact, it helps fight off bacteria and therefore may even improve your oral health.

I highly recommend trying out this raw matcha latte; even if you’re not a matcha lover, adding the sweetness of the dates almost makes this a dessert.
